Our Holy Father’s Intentions for February

• For medical care for the poor. That the sick, especially the poorest, may receive the care and medical treatment worthy of human beings.

• For passionate love for Christ. That all missionaries may recognize it is only through a fervent love for Christ the Gospel can be effectively transmitted.

Priests for Life Intention for February

• For pregnancy resource centers, especially those that need more volunteers.

About Prayer Requests

Limited resources make it necessary for us to accept prayer requests only from Marian Catechists. We invite other Catholics with prayer requests to post them at the Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas prayer site.

To ask for prayers, or to share information about persons prayed for, write to the Marian Catechists.

Contemplative Marian Catechists have primary responsibility for praying for these intentions. Of course, all site visitors are invited to pray for all of the people who need prayer.

Prayers after the fact are just as efficacious as those before. Jesus lives in eternity, and sees across time as well as space. He knows all of the prayers that will be offered for a particular intention, and takes them all into account.

The very sick and pain-wracked find it practically impossible to pray for their own needs. All they can do is offer up their pain in union with Christ’s suffering on the cross. Our prayers are all they have.
