Write to Us Prayer Requests
Carole Breslin I Was There Mary Teach Me The Romance Wits End

Dear Mary, teach me
how to pray.
As I rise early this day,
Please, will you show me the way
And tell me what to say?
I am but a beginner.
I know not how to pray.
I am but a sinner
Who has much to repay.
Show me loving mother
So that I may be sure
That I may want none other
Than thy Son so pure.
O sweet mother I beg
of thee
While here on bended knee
You will take my feeble prayers
And place them at His feet.
Please take all my
wretchedness
And wrap it in thy mantle.
Would you take my weak request
Please, make it presentable?
Oh I know He loves
you
And to you He’ll surely listen.
So I the lowly sinner
Do beg thy intercession.
Yes,
I seek thy intercession
For thy help I truly pray
So I’ll learn this loving lesson
Before my dying day.
